Tips: Downloading an entire Web site to a single PDF
.Is
there important information that you can get only on a Web site? But you're running
late and need to get out of the office. What do you do? Why not take the Web site
with you on the train? Or to the patio while you sip a chocotini. Here's how:
- Open Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and click File : Create PDF : From
Web Page. The "Create PDF From Web Page" dialog box opens.
- Type
the Web address in the "URL" field
- You can download one page, or many pages (depending on how deep
you want to go). It can take a while to download an entire site if the site is
large, i.e., New York Times, Microsoft.
- You can limit the download
size using other settings in the dialog box.
- So what is so great
about downloading a site to PDF?
- You can print out many pages at once
instead of one-at-a-time
- You can study/analyze information on a site
from anywhere (hotel, beach, plane)
- If you have space, you can put it
on your Palm Pilot or Pocket PC with Acrobat
Reader for Mobile Devices and read it wherever you want
